Battleship Sudoku is easy to learn, yet every new puzzle has the potential to challenge
even the experienced player.
Ten battleships are hidden on a traditional Battleships
grid, and it is your task to locate them all.
But instead of bombing squares at
random, you identify the ships through a process of logical deduction.. |
|
 |
At the end of each row and column,
there is a number that tells you how many grid squares on that line are occupied
with part of a battleship.
Battleships are all placed either horizontally or vertically on the grid, and no
battleship will touch another battleship.
There is always at least one square of water all the way around a battleship.
|
Each
battleship occupies a number of grid squares, but the end squares are a different
shape to the middle.
When you start a new puzzle, some of these squares will already
be revealed, and the different shapes will give you clues to get you started.
Every
Batlleship Sudoku has just one valid solution, and although puzzles require clear
logical deduction to solve, they are all solvable without guesswork.
